Update: Fire chief says blaze at grain bin in Obion Co. is under control
OBION COUNTY, Tenn. — Fire crews are on the scene of a grain bin fire at a company near Kenton.
The fire started Wednesday morning inside a grain bin at Mason Hall Grain Company, located on Mason Hall-Kenton Road near the Gibson County and Obion County line.
No injuries were reported.
Gibson County Fire Chief Bryan Cathey says the fire was inside a chute and is now under control.
Five fire crews including Obion, Gibson and Rutherford fire departments have been on scene since around 9:30 a.m.
Firefighters now are draining soybeans from the chute that caught fire as safety precaution along with checking nearby chutes.
