Crews respond to 2nd afternoon house fire in north Jackson
NORTH JACKSON — Crews responded to a house fire in north Jackson Thursday afternoon shortly after fighting another fire in a nearby neighborhood.
Fire officials say the fire has been extinguished at the Stratford Lane home and that no one was injured.
However, a pet pit bull did not survive.
They say the home is not a total loss and has mostly interior damage.
A juvenile was reportedly playing outside and saw smoke coming from the home.
Firefighters believe the blaze originated from a computer inside the house.
They do not consider it suspicious at this time.
