American Legion Post 282 of Brownsville receives keys to new building
BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. — Local veterans received something on this Veterans Day for which they’ve been waiting a long time.
Haywood County Mayor Franklin Smith presented the American Legion Post 282 of Brownsville with keys to a building they can call their own.
County Mayor Smith said the space was provided just for veterans and service members.
Commander of the post, Alexander Jones, said they’ve been working with the county for a little over six months to get the new location.
Now that they have it, Alexander said renovations can begin.
