Milan High School students host Veterans Day ceremony
MILAN, Tenn. — Milan High School students took a break from classes Friday afternoon to honor our country’s veterans.
Nearly 100 veterans attended the ceremony where each branch of the armed forces was recognized.
Men and women who served in the Vietnam War were given special commemoration pins for their service.
Madison County Commissioner and veteran Gary Deaton was the guest speaker. Service men and women were given a standing ovation from Milan students to end the program.
“The American solider died for your freedom,” Deaton said. “The son of God died for your soul. For every American solider that served in peace time and war time, this tribute is especially for you.”
