Authorities offer reward in vandalism at historic Alamo Cemetery

CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn. — Authorities are offering a cash reward as they investigate vandalism that occurred over the weekend at a historic cemetery in Alamo.

Several tombstones at Alamo Cemetery were vandalized sometime between Friday night and early Saturday morning, according to the Alamo Police Department.

They say some of the damaged tombstones date back to the 1800s and cannot be replaced.

A $1,000 reward is available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible.
