Salvation Army kicks off Red Kettle Campaign in Jackson
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Salvation Army officially kicked off its 2016 Red Kettle Campaign Friday at Old Hickory Mall.
The Salvation Army has been manning its red kettles for 125 years.
The Jackson chapter has been serving the community since 1955. They are estimated to provide financial assistance to 5,100 people each year.
Five thousand dollars was donated on behalf of the city of Jackson to start the season of giving.
