Tennessee Education Lottery Educator of the Week: Heather Davis
JACKSON, Tenn. — This week’s Tennessee Education Lottery Educator of the Week teaches right here in Jackson.
Heather Davis is a fifth grade teacher at Andrew Jackson Elementary School.
“My favorite part about teaching is being able to reach children and when I see that they’re finally getting it, and they just get so excited. That just makes me so excited,” Davis said.
She’s says learning to deal with the variety of personalities is the most challenging part of her job.
“They’re fifth graders and they’re 10, and they have all these different personalities, and trying to figure out how to navigate through 30 personalities has been my biggest challenge, but it’s all good.”
Davis will now be eligible for the statewide Tennessee Education Lottery Educator of the Month award. Starting in December, to vote for her or any of the other nominees, visit seehowitaddsup.com.
