Weather Update – 11:00 p.m. Tuesday

Off-and-on rain showers are likely overnight with a low pressure system moving east of the Mississippi River to our south. Thunderstorms are not likely tonight but if lightning strikes anywhere in our viewing area, it would be likeliest south of the Tennessee-Mississippi border. Temperatures will fall to the upper 30s and lower 40s by sunrise at 6:42 a.m. Wednesday morning.

After a windy day on Wednesday with gusts up to 20 miles per hour, high pressure will move in bringing clearer skies and warmer temperatures. The warming trend is expected to continue through the weekend into early next week.
