Weather Update – 10:45 p.m. Wednesday

Mainly clear skies will continue through Thursday morning into the afternoon. Temperatures will start out in the lower to middle 40s tomorrow and warm up to the lower and middle 70s for another warm and sunny day! Expect skies to gradually become cloudy by sunset at 6 p.m. which could be when some of the first showers start to return.

A cold front will move through West Tennessee Thursday night bringing a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms could be strong but the risk for severe weather is low overall.

A separate weather system will move in on Saturday bringing rain showers that may contain a mix of snow and ice – especially in northwest Tennessee. This is a forecast that continues to change with new data showing different outcomes for the weekend. Accumulating snow and ice looks possible in northwest Tennessee but amounts are still difficult to determine this far away from the event. There is a 40-50% chance for at least 2″ of snow in the area shown below in blue.
