1 in serious condition after east Jackson shooting

JACKSON, Tenn. — One person is in serious condition after a Monday afternoon shooting in east Jackson.
The victim was shot on Willa Drive and transported to a local hospital, according to Jackson Police Chief Julian Wiser. He said the victim is in serious condition.
The call about the shooting went out around 12:30 p.m.
Officers received information about the suspect’s vehicle and made a traffic stop in the area of North Highland Avenue and Campbell Street.
Chief Wiser said everyone in the vehicle was taken into custody.
