Weather Update – 11:00 p.m. Tuesday

A Freeze Warning is in effect for all of West Tennessee from 9 p.m. tonight through 12 p.m. Wednesday. A Freeze Watch, however, is in effect for all of West Tennessee from 9 p.m. Wednesday through 10 a.m. Thursday. In other words, temperatures will likely be well below freezing across the Mid-South for the next two nights!

TONIGHT
Expect skies to gradually become clearer through the evening. Snow showers will be possible through the evening and overnight though no accumulation is expected. As winds gradually become calmer, temperatures will drop to the upper teens and lower 20s by sunrise at 7:06 a.m. Wednesday. The record low temperature in Jackson tonight is 23°F. For what it’s worth, the coldest temperature Jackson had for the entire month of February this year was 19°F.

Tomorrow will still be a cold day despite having more of the sunshine. Breezy conditions will keep wind chills in the 30s for most of the afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will start to return to the area toward the end of the workweek when temperatures warm up so stay tuned to WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News for the latest forecast and keep in touch with the VIPIR 7 Storm Team on-air and online for more updates!
