School closings for Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017

The following schools are closed Thursday, Aug. 31, due to potential flooding:

Alamo City Schools dismissing at noon

Augustine School

Bethel University College of Arts & Sciences (Main campus) — All night classes canceled for Thursday, Aug. 31

Carroll Academy

Family Christian School

Jackson Christian School

Jackson-Madison County Schools (including all extra curricular activities. Central office closed as well)

Montessori Center of Jackson

St. Mary’s School

Trinity Christian Academy

University School Of Jackson

Vann Drive Christian Academy

West TN School for the Deaf

Jackson State Community College will close at 12:15 p.m.

Jackson-Madison County Library will close both locations at 2:00 p.m.

West Tennessee Business College will close at 5 p.m.

Gibson County Special School District — All after-school activities canceled

Henderson County and Lexington City Schools — Closed Friday, Sept. 1
