JTA offers free rides for everyone

JACKSON, Tenn.–Friday, you can catch a free ride with the Jackson Transit Authority.

Beginning at 9:30 a.m., workers of JTA will be handing out candy canes and Santa Claus hats while they last. JTA has been doing this free ride day for 7 years.
They say it’s their way to help Christmas shoppers.

“We’re taking the chance to help our community and that’s one less thing they have to worry about that day, remembering their bus fair or bus pass that they can get on and go shopping or go eat and just be out in the community doing the things that they want to do,” said Doug Roth, organizer.

The free rides are open to everyone.
