Barge hits bridge near Dyersburg

DYER COUNTY, Tenn. — Tennessee Department of Transportation has confirmed a barge hit Interstate 155 near Dyersburg this morning.

TDOT spokesperson Nichole Lawrence said the incident happened around 9:30 a.m.

No damage is visible to the bridge after a preliminary inspection, but Lawrence said crews are awaiting an official inspection from bridge crews.
