Slight Warm Up Today

Weather Update:

Another very cold start to the day with temperatures across all of West Tennessee ranging from 0 to 5 degrees with wind chill values 0 to – 5. The good news is despite how cold it was this morning. the main arctic air mass is modifying and will begin to warm up today. We’ll warm to around the mid 20s today. As high pressure weakens, winds will relax allowing the wind chill advisory to expire at Noon today. Otherwise precipitation wise, the forecast remains quiet until this weekend as a ridge builds in allowing temperatures to return to the mid 40s for high. However, take caution the upper pattern remains the same, suggesting we’re not done with arctic intrusions. We’re just in a break between them.
