Mr. Caldwell “Red” Boden Jr.

Mr. Caldwell “Red” Boden Jr. of Paris, Tennessee, passed away at the age of 91 at his residence Friday, January 5, 2018. The funeral service will be held at McEvoy Funeral Home 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 9 with Pastor Joe Hansen and Bro. Gary Collier both of First United Methodist Church officiating; burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will also be at McEvoy Funeral Home 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. Monday, with Masonic Rites to be administered at 6:30 P.M. and visitation will begin after 10:00 A.M. Tuesday until time of service. Named as Pallbearers are Mike Bemiss, Donovan Bemiss, Mike Peterson, Jeffrey Miller, and Blake Miller.

Mr. Caldwell “Red” Boden was born July 29, 1926 in Paris Tennessee to the late Caldwell Boden who preceded in 1954 and Gustava Weaks Boden who preceded in 1973. He was also preceded by his first wife Francis Nance Boden who passed away September 17, 1976 and also preceded by a son Donald Miller.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Mosley Boden of Paris, Tennessee who he married December 3, 1988. Three daughters: Susan (Doug) Dillon of St. Petersburg, Florida, Debra (Mike) Peterson of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Terry (Mike) Bemiss of Bowling Green, Kentucky; Two sons: Mark (Cory) Boden of Gunnersville, Alabama and Jeffrey (Joy) Miller of Bowling Green, Kentucky; Grandchildren: Arron (Sarah) Boden, Donovan (Nicole) Bemiss, Brooke Bemiss, Blake Miller, Rachel Miller, Devon (Brian) Rodgers; Great-Grandchildren: Zoe Buchanon, Taylor Bemiss, and Logan Bemiss.

Mr. Boden attended the First United Methodist Church and was a WWII Army Veteran and later a member of the Tennessee National Guard. He worked and retired from Holley Carburetor as a Mechanical Engineer, working as a trouble shooter at whichever plant he was needed. Caldwell was a Ham radio operator, also enjoyed making cap and ball pistols. He loved his lake cabin and going boating.
