Howard Docker Bryant

Howard Docker Bryant, 98, of Medon TN passed away peacefully in the home of his niece LaJuan Marable in Springfield MO on Saturday, February 17, 2018.  Howard was a 30-year veteran of the U.S. Navy.  He was proceeded in death by his parents Carolyn and James Bryant of Nashville Tennessee.  His wife of 60 years Aloysius (Al) Bryant. His siblings Cora Peay, Lee Bryant, Betty Davis and Sue Joseph.  His daughter Marcia Ann Collins, stepson and daughter-in-law Gene and Helen Bragg, grand-daughters, Leanne Collins and Brenda Bragg Scalcucci, grand-son Jackie Bragg and 2 great grand-daughters.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brother, Edward Bryant of Whidby Island, WA.  His grand-children Scott (Connie) Collins of Denmark, TN, Theresa Collins Brown of Nashville, TN, Lisa Hart (Gary Jackson) of Burlington, IA, Mary Bragg of Trenton, TN, Bobby (Rhonda) Bragg of Milan, TN.  In addition, his extended family includes 14 great grand-children, 19 great great-grand-children and 1 great great-great great-grand-child, as well as 20 nieces and nephews and their families.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 23rd at 1:00 PM at the George A. Smith & Sons South Chapel in Jackson, followed by a service at 2:00 PM.   Interment will follow at the Clover Creek Baptist Church, 2112 Highway 18, Medon,TN.
