Local NAACP chapter president to run for Madison co. mayor

JACKSON, Tenn — According to the NAACP, the President of the Jackson-Madison County branch is turning over the daily activities to run for public office.

Harrell Carter Jr. filed a petition with the Madison County election commission to run for mayor of Madison county. Vice-President Minister Marshall Brooks will lead the chapter until the August 2nd general election is over.
