Man faces gun, drug charges after 2017 search of downtown Jackson home
JACKSON, Tenn. — A man was arraigned Tuesday in Jackson City Court after investigators say they found guns and drugs in his downtown Jackson home.
Cornella Grimes, 50, is facing charges of possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, possession of crack cocaine with intent to resell, and unlawful drug paraphernalia.
Court documents say investigators with Jackson-Madison County Metro Narcotics searched the Linden Street home in July 2017 and found two loaded handguns and crack cocaine.
According to court documents, the two guns, along with a measuring bowl with cocaine residue, sandwich bags and $1,500 in cash were found in and on top of a blue plastic tub in Grimes’ bedroom.
Court documents say investigators also found half a gram of crack cocaine on top of a TV stand and inside a drawer of the TV stand.
