Troopers find nearly 350 pounds of marijuana during I-40 traffic stop

HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — A Tuesday afternoon traffic stop on Interstate 40 led state troopers to nearly 350 pounds of marijuana.

Troopers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol say they stopped a pickup truck near mile marker 98.

A K-9 assisted in a search that revealed a large amount of marijuana separated into individual packages. The drugs weighed a total of 342 pounds.

There is not yet word on what charges the driver may face.
