What’s New Wednesday: Simply Sweat Sauna
.
Simply Sweat Sauna just had their grand opening last month. WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News anchor Ariana Alexa met with the owner from Humboldt who started the business with her husband.
Ashley Childs, owner of Simply Sweat, says the infrared sauna studio has four colorful sauna pods that go up to 175 degrees. Sweat sessions last from 30 to 40 minutes.
“Sweating is the body’s healthy and natural way to detox all of the toxins we accumulate to heal and stay healthy,” Childs said.
It’s really simple. All you have to do is come in, make sure your time and temperature are set, lift the pod, then lie down, relax and sweat it out.
Childs says it’s good for arthritis, bone and joint pain, clear skin and even sports recovery.
If you are hesitant to try out these steamy pods, Childs says don’t fret.
“Your head is outside the bed the whole time, which allows you to still be able to breathe, so you’re not feeling the heat suffocating feeling that traditional saunas may give you,” Childs said.
Simply Sweat offers several membership and package plans. They also take walk-ins.
