West Tennesseans band together to end Alzheimer’s

JACKSON, Tenn. — The color purple filled the Union University campus as many gathered for an important cause.

Saturday groups participated in the walk to end Alzheimer’s.

There were 52 teams that made up the nearly 400 people at the event.

Many wore purple shirts with the name of someone who has been affected by the disease.

Organizers say the event raised more than $49,000.
