Police investigating shooting in Humboldt

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — Humboldt police have confirmed they are investigating a shooting.

Police said the shooting happened on South 19th Street.
Officers blocked off a house with crime tape as they investigated the scene.

Investigators said one person was shot and airlifted to an area hospital.
The extent of their injuries is currently unknown.

Those who live nearby say the violence is their neighborhood nothing new.

“It kind of makes you think, could this be my family, could this be my kid you know, that pulls up and gets killed in someone’s driveway”,
said Anthony Calenzo, who lives in the area.

No suspect information was immediatly available.
