Second man faces murder charge in November shooting

JACKSON, Tenn. — A second man is charged in a fatal November shooting in east Jackson.

Corrion Greer, 27, is charged with first-degree murder in the Nov. 16 shooting that killed Tavoris Bates outside a Middle Avenue home, according to court documents.

Court documents say Greer and another man, Billy Moore, confronted Bates less than an hour before he was shot.

Court documents say a witness told investigators that Greer and Moore returned around 6:15 p.m. and Moore shot Bates from the window of a car Greer was driving.

Moore is also charged with first-degree murder in Bates’ death.
