Pedestrian hit while crossing Vann Drive

JACKSON, Tenn. — According to the Jackson Police Department, a man was walking across Vann Drive around 7:30 Friday evening when he was hit by a car.

Investigators say he was not using the crosswalk.

The man has since been taken to Regional One in Memphis with apparent internal injuries.

The investigation into what exactly happened is ongoing.
