Medical experts urge everyone to ‘know your numbers’ for heart health

JACKSON, Tenn. — Officials from West Tennessee Healthcare are promoting heart health.

A cardiac nurse spoke Tuesday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital on the importance of “knowing your numbers.” Those numbers include your blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol readings.

“It’s just so many people unaware of their numbers, and they don’t know what to do to help decrease these risk factors for heart disease,” registered nurse Avis Curry said.

The next “Know Your Numbers” talk is set for Feb. 21 at the hospital. They are free and open to the public.
