Warmer and Windy at Times on Tuesday

Weather Update – 11:15 p.m. – Monday, April 15th

West Tennessee started out with patchy frost this morning when temperatures were in the lower to middle 30s before sunrise! That’s not unusual, but slightly late in the season for what could end up being the last frost of Spring 2019. There’s a warm-up on the way with temperatures forecast to approach 80°F, but only briefly, with another cold front coming on Thursday which will bring a chance for thunderstorms into the area.

TONIGHT
Mostly clear skies will continue tonight, but with temperatures that will be more mild than what we started with Monday morning. Tuesday morning, temperatures will be in the upper 40s and lower 50s with light winds. Another dry and sunny day is forecast for tomorrow!

Having plenty of sunshine tomorrow will help put our high temperatures near 80°F in the afternoon – much warmer than today! Expect winds to pick up too – out of the southwest at 10 to 20 miles per hour. When a cold front comes into the area on Thursday, there’s a potential that parts of West Tennessee may see some strong thunderstorms – especially in the afternoon.
