Scattered Thunderstorms Possible next Few Days
Weather Update – 10:30 p.m. – Thursday, August 1st
After a quiet and mostly clear day across West Tennessee, we have a quiet and mostly clear night ahead! We were able to avoid the rain today with scattered showers and thunderstorms showing up just east of the Tennessee River in Middle Tennessee but the chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms shows back up locally in the forecast for the next few days.
Mostly clear skies will continue tonight into Friday morning, and the first night of August will be cool! Temperatures will drop to the lower and middle 60s by sunrise.
Mostly sunny skies are expected once again tomorrow but with high temperatures closer to 90°F. We’ll notice that the humidity will be worse on Friday with dew points back in the lower 70s during the afternoon. However, most of West Tennessee will be dry overall except for a few isolated showers and thunderstorms showing up in the afternoon and evening. Rain looks likeliest near the Tennessee River and south of I-40 on Friday. We’re more likely to see rain on Saturday and Sunday but those thunderstorms will still be scattered, so not everyone may get rain.
