UPDATE: Jackson police seek man in weekend shooting

JACKSON, Tenn. — Police are asking the public for help as they search for a man wanted in a weekend domestic-related shooting that left a woman seriously injured.

Quincy Collins, 37, is wanted in connection with the weekend shooting in east Jackson, according to a news release from the Jackson Police Department.

Officers responded around 5 a.m. Saturday to the area of Neff Circle for calls about a suspicious situation, according to the release. Callers told police a woman was knocking on doors asking for help.

Police arrived and found a woman who appeared to be in critical condition with an apparent gunshot injury, according to the release.

The woman was transported to a local hospital and later airlifted to Memphis, the release says.

Officers identified Collins, the woman’s ex-boyfriend, as the suspect.
