Commission calls for recall of X15 model hoverboard

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission wants to warn you of a product.

The New High-Tech Enterprise Company’s X15 Hoverboard could be dangerous.

The lithium ion batteries in the hoverboards can overheat, posing a fire hazard.

The CPSC is aware of one report of the hoverboard overheating and smoking.

The commission has asked the company to recall the product, but it refused.

The CPSC says if you have the X15 model of the balance scooter, do not charge or use it and report any incidents to the commission.

Incidents can reported to the CPSC website.
