Man accused of abusing girlfriend faces federal charges

JACKSON, Tenn. — A man accused of neglecting his incapacitated girlfriend last year is now facing a federal charge.

Vincent Henderson was originally accused of abusing his girlfriend in August 2019 when she was taken by ambulance to a Martin hospital for treatment of multiple injuries, according to investigators.

Court documents say while the woman was at the hospital, Henderson arrived and began making threats to officers.

Investigators later searched the home where the woman was found and located drugs and several guns, according to court documents.

Henderson is a convicted felon and prohibited from owning guns.
