Health department confirms 35th death, 16 new COVID-19 cases
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department has confirmed an additional death due to COVID-19 complications, bringing the total number of COVID-related deaths to 35.
The health department says the patient was a 51-year-old man, who had been hospitalized, died Sunday.
In addition, the health department confirmed 16 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed positive cases to 2,045.
Those patients include 13 men and three women, ranging in age from 4-months-old to 79-years-old.
There are currently 21 Madison County residents hospitalized due to COVID-19, with two of those patients on a ventilator.
The health department also released statistics on patients, including zip code, race, gender, age and their health statuses.
