Another Near-Freezing Night in West Tennessee

Weather Update – 11:00 p.m. – Monday, October 2nd

Temperatures started at 27°F in Jackson this morning, making it the first time since April 15th that we had below-freezing temperatures in West Tennessee – 201 days ago! We still have another cold night ahead but the trend is for warmer weather to gradually return to West Tennessee.

Under clear skies, temperatures will drop back into the lower and middle 30s by sunrise Tuesday morning. Light winds from the southwest will become a bit breezy at times tomorrow but our rain-free weather will continue on Tuesday. After starting out just above freezing in the morning, temperatures will peak in the middle 60s during the afternoon – about 10°F warmer than today with light winds from the southwest.
