Whiteville cancels annual Christmas parade due to COVID-19

WHITEVILLE, Tenn. — The town of Whiteville announced Thursday in a Facebook post that officials have cancelled the annual Christmas parade.

The cancellation is due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases, according to the post.

The post says Whiteville officials made the decision following the advice of local health officials and guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
