$400,000 grant goes to Middle Fork Bottoms project
JACKSON, Tenn. — The West Tennessee River Basin Authority has received a $400,000 recreation trails grant that will be used for a trailhead and other facilities at Middle Fork Bottoms, according to a news release.
The release says the grant is part of $1,892,642 from the Recreation Trails Program, in addition to $7,584,530 from the Local Parks and Recreation Fund and the Land and Water Conservation Fund.
The project includes the development of a trailhead with restrooms, an information kiosk, boardwalk and overlooks for natural areas, educational signs, site fixtures and access control, according to the release.
Those receiving a portion of the fund includes Middleton, Milan, Grand Junction and Kenton.
