COVID-19 in Madison County: 2 death, 909 new cases this week

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson-Madison County Regional Health Department has confirmed two deaths and another 909 cases of COVID-19 in Madison County.

The department says an 81-year-old woman died Jan. 9, and a 65-year-old woman died on Jan. 27 due to complications from COVID-19.

That brings the total number of deaths to 357.

The additional cases bring the total number of confirmed positive cases in Madison County to 24,886.

The health department also released statistics on patients, including zip code, race, gender, age and their health statuses.
