‘Freshman Academy’ gives students chance to prepare for high school

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson-Madison County School System is helping their students prepare for high school.

Incoming ninth graders are invited to participate in Freshman Academy, a three-day camp that will be held at their 2022-2023 high school campus.

Soon-to-be freshman will engage in career planning, ACT information sessions, time management, study skills and more.

It’s an opportunity for students to become more acclimated to the high school setting and learn about procedures, athletic offerings, special programs and post-secondary options.

The camp dates are set for July 26th, 27th and 28th from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. each day at the following campuses:
