West TN town celebrates 200 years

HUNTINGDON, Tenn. –One local town is helping to celebrate a milestone.

Many businesses in Huntingdon are celebrating 200 years of being in the town.

To honor that, the town put together a celebration, there was also a trial of the three little pigs versus the big bad wolf.

One organizer says having an event showcasing these businesses helps the community learn more about the town.

“200 years is a long time and we’ve got a lot of history and it’s a very interesting thing. We’re hoping that people get involved and want to learn more about it, we want to keep that history alive,” said Melissa Powell, Co-chair Huntingdon Bicentennial Committee.
