TVA requests reduction in electricity use

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Tennessee Valley Authority is asking for the community to use less electricity.

The request includes those in using the Gibson Electric Membership Corporation and the Jackson Energy Authority.

Members are asked to cut off unneeded lights and delay use of electronics, such as washing and drying machines, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday.
