Union to host workshop centered on handling grief

JACKSON, Tenn. — A local group is hosting an upcoming workshop designed to help those dealing with grief.

A professional grief therapy workshop will be held at Union University on November 17 and November 18.

A leading expert in trauma and loss, Dr. Robert A. Neimeyer will be conducting the workshop. He says at some point, grief will have an impact on our lives.

“Everybody handles grief differently. All of our grief journeys are going to be different, but it’s the one thing out of everything. Everybody won’t experience PTSD and everybody won’t experience depression, but we will all experience grief at some point,” Neimeyer said.

Union University’s School of Social Work and Positive Living is hosting the workshop.

It is being held in the Carl Grant Event Center on the Union campus from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
