LIFELINE asks community to donate the gift of life

JACKSON, Tenn. — You can help give the gift of life this holiday season in both Jackson and Dyersburg.

Lifeline Blood Services

LIFELINE Blood Services is hosting the annual Holiday Hero Christmas Blood Drive on December 15 at their location at 183 Sterling Farms Drive from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Holiday Hero drive will also be held at the Dyersburg location from December 17 to December 20. Their hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on from Sunday to Tuesday.

LIFELINE says that donors will get a t-shirt, along with a coupon for a free 10-inch pizza from Marco’s Pizza!

LIFELINE is also hosting a new type of blood drive this year called the Spirit of Christmas Eve. This drive will let donors choose a nonprofit in the area to receive a $10 donation. This will be at the Jackson location from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and in Dyersburg from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“We experience blood shortages around the holidays, so we especially want to ask donors to take the
time to be a Holiday Hero and donate!” said Melinda Reid, Marketing Manager with LIFELINE Blood
Services.

But that is not all. LIFELINE says they are also holding a giveaway. They say when you donate blood at either center, you can enter a drawing to win one of three $500 VISA gift cards. LIFELINE says one is being given out each week until December 22.

Also on December 22, they will be drawing for a 55-inch smart TV!

You can stay up-to-date with LIFELINE on their website, or through Facebook.
