List of Christmas events to begin in Lexington
HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — A range of Christmas events is beginning Thursday night in Lexington.
Thursday at 5 p.m., there will be a Lighting of the Tree at the Henderson County Courthouse!
Then on Monday, December 12, there will be a grand opening for a 2,000 square foot ice skating rink! It will be opened each day from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
It will remain open until Jan. 8 and can be found on the Henderson County Courthouse front lawn.
“I am excited about this and believe this event really shows what a community can do when we all work together. The Commissioners and I look forward to seeing the smiles on the kids’ faces and hearing the laughter of families enjoying time here,’ said Henderson County Mayor Robbie McCready.
The county is also holding a Festival of Lights, with live music, a visit from Santa Claus, food and additional shopping hours! It will be December 16 through December 18, and December 23.
And remember, the Lexington Christmas Parade will also be on December 12 at 7 p.m.
The county says the Holiday Symphony will perform at Princess Theatre at 7 p.m. instead of Lexington High School.
