Casting underway for Shark Tanks’ 15th season

JACKSON, Tenn. — Shark Tank is casting for its 15th season.

Shark Tank

Shark Tank is a business investment show in which five Sharks, who are all self-made millionaires and billionaires, invest in companies and entrepreneurs who need an support to take their business or product to new heights.

Supervising Casting Producer Mindy Zemrak said it is an easy process to apply.

“Right now we are conducting all of our casting online. We are hoping to come back out into the field and do open calls later, either this year or next. But right now, they just go to abc.com, click Shark Tank, hit apply, and that’s it. It’s pretty simple,” Zemrak said.

Zemark also shared what the show is looking for when it comes to their ideal entrepreneurs.

“We are looking for entrepreneurs who are passionate about what it is that they have created and need an investment to take their business or product to the next level, whatever that level is. So if you have a working prototype or if you’ve been in business for a couple of years and everything works, Shark Tank loves to include entrepreneurs of diverse backgrounds from all different walks of life and different stages of business,” Zemrak said.

Getting a deal with a Shark is an opportunity of a lifetime, according to Zemrak.

“Getting a deal with a Shark is huge. Not only for the capital injection into the business, but you also get the backing of a Shark and their team to help take that business to the next level. Because our Sharks have so much experience and connections, it’s almost like hitting light speed with an entrepreneur’s business. So they can hit levels that they probably haven’t previously seen. It’s really amazing to see how much they flourish if they do a deal with a Shark,” Zemrak said.

Shark Tank will be casting until July. New episodes will air every Friday night on WBBJ, ABC 7 and will be streamed on Hulu.
