Billie Sneed Morris
Billie Sneed Morris, age 92, resident of Somerville, Tennessee and wife of the late Thomas Ray Morris, Jr., departed this life Monday morning, March 6, 2023 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
Billie was born May 10, 1930 in Saulsbury, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Guy W. Sneed and Gladys Lucille Reynolds Sneed. She was employed as a waitress at Lewis’ Restaurant in Moscow, Tennessee for many years and was a member of Morris Memorial Baptist Church.
Billie was an all-around good person who loved her family, especially her children, and church. She enjoyed reading her Bible, listening to country music, cooking for her family and working at the restaurant where she was able to be around her customers. She was the owner of LE&R for eight years. Her family states no one said anything bad about her.
Mrs. Morris is survived by her daughter, Donna Marie Pearson; her son, Billy Ray Morris (Judith E.); three sisters, Gloria Hurdle, Ann Sparkman and Sandra Glover; three brothers, Alton “Red” Sneed, John Spain and Paul Spain; six grandchildren, David K. Morris, Chad Pulliam, Jason P. Morris, Wendy Jaminson, Amber Gaisenhoff and Michael Seagraves; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ray Morris, Jr. who died August 14, 2005; her parents, Guy and Gladys Sneed; her sister, Norma “Cookie” Yarbrough; and two brothers, Guy W. Sneed and Maurice “Morris” Sneed.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Morris will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville. The officiating ministers will be Bro. Mike Couch and Bro. Mark Duggin. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery at Williston, Tennessee. A visitation for Mrs. Morris will be from 12 noon until 2 P.M. Saturday, March 11, 2023 at the Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be David Morris, Jason Morris, Chad Pulliam, Jake Morris, Chase Pulliam, Gabe Pulliam and Mikie Seagraves. Honorary pallbearers will include Bob Geisenhoff.
