Kenneth Michael Jordan
Kenneth Michael Jordan, age 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at his residence. Funeral Services were conducted on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN. Martha Bunch and Jerry Winberry officiated the services. Burial followed at Providence Cemetery. A Visitation for Mr. Jordan was held on Thursday evening, March 9, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
Mr. Jordan was born February 11,1948, to the late Kenneth Luther Jordan and the late Katherine Lucille Jordan. Mr. Jordan worked as a law enforcement officer for most of his life, where in 1981, he joined the City of Jackson Police Department, where he advanced to the rank of Sergeant and served until his retirement in 2010. He was a volunteer fireman for Madison County for over 25 years. He also owned a hay farming and mowing operation that he shared with his son and grandson. He was a man with a big heart, especially when it came to his children and grandchildren, the joys of his life. He loved riding horses, camping, country western dancing and especially spending weekends sitting on the bank of his Tennessee River property spending time with his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 53 years, Betty Jordan of Jackson, TN; one daughter, Connie Cobb (Phillip) of Bells, TN; one son, Timothy Jordan (Tiffany) of Jackson, TN; four grandchildren, Blake Coulston (Bailey), Bradley Jordan (Tara), Ashley Cobb Ching (Joseph), Emily Cobb (Clayton King); three great-grandchildren, Evelyn Ching, Isabella Coulston, and Hunter Coulston; one sister, Ann McCaig (Terry) of Milan, TN; two special friends, Tim Foote of Sallisaw, OK and Tony Hayes of Jackson, TN.
Full Police Honors will be provided by City of Jackson Police Department. Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Coulston, Bradley Jordan, Joseph Ching, Clayton King, Jerald Campbell, Tony Hayes, and Charles Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Foote, Rex Currie, and Jerry Winberry.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to the Kirkland Cancer Center, 720 W. Forest Ave., Jackson, TN 38301. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home, Brownsville, TN.
