Madison County Democratic Party to elect new leaders at convention
JACKSON, Tenn. — All Madison County Democrats are welcome to attend a convention later this month.
The Madison County Democratic Party plans to elect new leaders at a Reorganization Convention on Saturday, March 25.
During the event, local Democrats will elect a Chair, Vice Chairs, Secretary, Treasurer and Executive Committee for a two-year term. A release says the Executive Committee is composed of two members elected from each county commission district.
All Democrats who are Madison County residents and registered voters are encouraged to attend, as the party’s agenda will be discussed along with upcoming events for 2023-2024. County Party by-laws will also be adopted during the convention.
Attendees should arrive early to complete credentialing forms prior to the 10 a.m. start time. The release says all participants must be admitted prior to 10 a.m.
The Reorganization Convention will be held at the Northside Lions Center, located at 2998 North Highland Avenue in Jackson. Doors will open for registration at 9 a.m.
