Maggie Sue Potter

Maggie Sue Potter, age 84, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the Jackson Madison-County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN, with Rev. Eddie Cupples and Rev. Philip Tabler officiating.  Burial will follow at Brownsville Memorial Gardens.  A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, from 12:00 noon until 1:00 PM at the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.

Maggie was born July 24, 1938, in Nutbush, TN to Lawson and Sue Daniel. She was married to Carl Potter and they celebrated 57 years together.  They owned several businesses in Brownsville through the years. They resided in Brownsville for 25 years and then relocated to Jackson, TN for the next 29 years. They started a Gospel singing group called the Christianaires.  She was a member of Love and Truth Church in Jackson, TN for 14 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawson and Susie Daniel; her husband, Carl Potter; one daughter, Tina Renee Potter; and one sister, Bobbie Hunter. She is survived by her daughter, Kim Potter; one brother, Terry Daniel (Chris); one sister, Rosemary Jones (Benny), and numerous nieces and nephews.
