Jackson-Madison Co. Library celebrates National Library Week
JACKSON, Tenn. — Celebrate National Library Week!
This year’s theme is “There’s More to the Story.”
Libraries are full of stories in a variety of formats, from picture books to large print, audiobooks to eBooks, and more. But there’s so much more to the story.
2023 marks the 65th anniversary of National Library Week, an annual celebration highlighting the valuable role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening our communities.
The Jackson-Madison County Library has a whole week full of exciting things for you and your family to enjoy.
“If you walk in the library this week, you’re going to see even more effort,” said Director Dinah Harris. “A greater effort for the library staff to engage with you and to help you to realize what all we have to help you to have a better life, and to be more of a part of the community. Cause that’s what the library is all about. Technology, literacy, and community. And that’s what we’re going to focus on, and this week, we really hope to really make that shine for you.”
You can head over to the library’s Facebook page for more information, or click here to see a list of their upcoming events.
