JMCSS announces upcoming commencements and safety protocols
JACKSON, Tenn. — Upcoming commencement dates announced.
The Jackson Madison County School System has released the schedule for its upcoming commencement ceremonies. The ceremonies will take place May 15-19 at the Oman Arena located at 179 Lane Ave, in Jackson.
Along with the schedule were a set of safety and security measures to be observed at the arena. The ceremonies will also be live streamed on the JMCSS website for those unable to attend. That website can be found here.
The following is the upcoming schedule for the local school commencements.
- JCM Early College High—Monday, May 15 at 5 pm.
- JASA—Monday, May 15 at 7 pm.
- Liberty—Tuesday, May 16 at 6 pm.
- North Side—Wednesday, May 17 at 6 pm.
- South Side—Thursday, May 18 at 6 pm.
- Jackson Central-Merry— Friday, May 19 at 5 pm.
- Madison Academic— Friday, May 19 at 7 pm.
According to JMCSS, the following safety measures will be observed for these events:
- No bags of any kind are allowed
- No balloons, noisemakers or airhorns
- Doors will open 1 hour before ceremony
- Metal detectors used at entry
- All persons are subject to search
