Local lodge shows appreciation to first responders
JACKSON, Tenn. — A local Elks Lodge showed their appreciation to first responders over the weekend.
According to a news release, on Saturday, Elks #191 held a lunch for police, fire, and other first responders in the Jackson and Madison County community.
Elks says more than 18 of their members made and served hamburgers, hot dogs, beans, potato salad, slaw, drinks and dessert to more than 50 first responders.
The lodge says the lunch was made possible by a $1,000 community grant from Tennessee Elks Association.
